I am Amecha Godfrey Nyariki from Kenya and I graduated with a Master of Library and Information Science degree in 2012. I would like to take this gracious moment to thank Alagappa University fraternity for the conducive environment you created for my studies while in India. It's hard at times to adapt in a foreign land but in Karaikudi it was different since everybody was friendly and ready to assist me in all the services in I needed in the university. In the department of Library and Information Science I gained knowledge and experience that has helped me in my career. The good professors/lecturers in the department were motivating and well advanced in their area of specialization. With my classmates we worked in team as I value team work and unity to achieve in academic studies. I gained much technical skills in the central library and the whole process of information centers. As an alumnus, am grateful to the department for creating this forum to interact with all the students who have studied in the department and by this, stronger networks that will move us to the next level. Finally, I thank the Almighty God for enabling me to study in this esteemed University and especially the department of Library and Information Science.

I am really indebted to my Department Head and other faculty members for having given me placement opportunities to get placed in a leading corporate sector. The most unforgettable moments of my student days was the support provided by the university and department for extra-curricular activities viz to participate and to conduct cultural events. I spent useful time in the department computer lab and library. After two years of study at Alagappa University, I knew I made the right decision to come over here.
