Department of Biomedical Sciences

Students often wonder about M.Sc Biomedical Science details before choosing the course. Before deciding on a career, students come across queries like, "What is M.Sc Biomedical Science Course?" and "Why choose M.Sc Biomedical Science?”. M.Sc in Biomedical Science in India is a two-year post-graduation degree course. Biomedical Science is a specialization course in Masters which deals with sample analysis, diagnosis, and treatment.. It opens up avenues to learn from top-class facilities and professional expertise. This course offers a study on human health and diseases and hands-on training on the tools used in Biomedical Science. The course will teach the aspects of Human Anatomy, Clinical Chemistry, Medical Microbiology, Cellular Pathology, and Haematology.

Biomedical sciences are a set of sciences applying portions of natural science or formal science, or both, to develop knowledge, interventions, or technology that are of use in healthcare or public health.” The course falls under the umbrella of the M.Sc course and therefore, follows the syllabus pattern. There are many job opportunities available for the graduates of this course. The M.Sc Biomedical Science scope is huge but the intake of students for this course is very less. A doctorate in Biomedical Science helps to learn how to preserve and support health in both humans and animals with insights on diet, disease, and immunology basics. The minimum length of these projects is three years, although they can be expanded depending on study needs. Students with a Ph.D. in Biomedical Science will also choose a career as a researcher.

In the present era, the medical field needs a new method of treatments and technology since new diseases and viruses are affecting humans and animals. Post lockdown there was a sharp increase in mental health issues due to complete house arrest for months, which have left an impact on their physical as well as mental health. So it creates jobs for Biomedical science course students with skills and interest in research.

Admission to the Biomedical Science course is based on merit. Candidates can fill the application through online. In order to fill the application form online. For that students have to go to the university’s website and fill the details correctly in the application form. On successful registration, students can follow the instruction s of documents submission for the same.
