School of Computational Sciences

The Department of Computer Applications has been established in January 1986 with 2 years M.Sc. (Computer Applications) programme. Subsequently three years M.C.A programme has been offered from 1987 onwards. M.C.A (week end) programme has been started from the academic year 1994 for the benefit of Employees. One year M.Phil (Full Time), one year M.Phil(Summer Sequencial) and Ph.D (Full-Time and Part Time) programmes are also offered in the Department.

The faculty members of the Department are highly qualified with high research profile. They have attended many National and International conferences across the world. Students graduated from this Department are placed in reputed IT Industries, Educational Institutions and R&D organizations in India and abroad.

The Department imparts world class training, research and provides state of the art computing facilities to the students. The major research areas are Network, Network security, Database, Image Processing, Video processing, Cloud computing and Data Mining.
