How to get registered in NAD?
  • All the students of Alagappa University, either currently studying or graduated since 2008 are required to get themselves registered in NAD through the Student Registration Portal of NAD (https://nad.ndml.in/NAD/newStudentRegistrationScreen.html). This registration has to be done by all the students of University Departments, Affiliated Colleges and Distance Education.
  • The students need to register in NAD and obtain a NAD ID only once. The same NAD ID has to be used for multiple degrees or higher education of the same student.
  • Students who have already registered themselves in NAD and holding a valid NAD ID are required to inform their Student Register Number provided by the University and the NAD ID obtained to the NAD Cell through their respective Department Level NAD Coordinator for linking and mapping activity
NAD Cell of Alagappa University

Alagappa University has been a forerunner in adopting technology for creating an efficient and student friendly academic environment. The Ministry of Human Resource Development of Government of India announced about creating a National Academic Depository in the year 2016.

The vision of National Academic Depository (NAD) is born out of an initiative to provide an online store house of all academic awards. National Academic Depository (NAD) is a 24X7 online store house of all academic awards viz., certificates, diplomas, degrees, mark-sheets etc. duly digitized and lodged by academic institutions / boards / eligibility assessment bodies. NAD not only ensures easy access to and retrieval of an academic award but also validates and guarantees its authenticity and safe storage.

National Academic Depository comprises of two interoperable digital depositories viz. CDSL Ventures Limited (CVL) and NSDL Database Management Limited (NDML). These digital depositories have ensured hardware, network facilities and software of prescribed quality for smooth and secured operationalization of NAD.

Alagappa University has signed a Service Level Agreement (SLA) with NDML on 9th November 2017. The academic degrees / diplomas awarded by Alagappa University from the academic year 2008 – 2009 onwards have been uploaded in NAD portal in the NAD certificate template format that are digitally signed.

The NAD Cell of Alagappa University was set up with required technical infrastructure and trained personnel working for effective implementation of NAD.

The NAD Cell of Alagappa University has a team of Department Level Faculty Coordinators both at the University Departments and at the Affiliated Colleges who take care of ensuring student enrollment in NAD portal. A team of technical personnel at the Examinations Section of Alagappa University has been working tirelessly for NAD Cell in digitizing and data support activities.
